Anxiety

Anxiety

Anxiety, depression, and stress have become more common with the increasing changes and challenges that many of us face in our lives. While ‘feeling sad’, ‘being nervous’, or having ‘the blues’ is something that all of us experience, clinical depression disorders and anxiety disorders are significantly different in that it can feel like the severe anxiety and/or depression will never end.

It is important to refer to your family physician when undergoing extended bouts of chronic depression symptoms or anxiety symptoms. A counsellor or psychotherapist is helpful in providing a person experiencing anxiety, depression and stress with practical coping strategies and psychosocial supports.
